The Boston Children’s Comfort Ability Program (CAP) teaches kids, teens, and parents or carers how to manage chronic pain. Dr Rachael Coakley, the CAP Founder and Director, is now working with Comfort Quest to co-develop and design a personalized health-behavior chatbot that will be integrated into the existing CAP intervention and framework.
This innovative tool is being developed by a group of practitioners, scientists, artists, technologists, and instructional designers. The end result will be a clinically-informed, rule-based chatbot that engages kids and parents in systematically developing and evaluating functional recovery plans.
