Comfort Quest

The work

Tools and programs for every hard moment.

Comfort Quest builds patient support children can talk to, and partners with the programs already leading the field. Here's the work, in clinics and homes today.

For kids

SuperMeg

An interactive tool that helps a child build their own plan for a more comfortable needle poke. By answering a few questions and making their own choices, kids gain a sense of control, and the finished plan is emailed home to share with the care team.

For teens

Take Control

A mobile app built for teenagers, helping older kids learn strategies and create a plan to feel more in control at a vaccine, blood test, or other procedure. Made for teens who found the kids' tool too young and the adult one too dry.

Parent education

Pain Champions

An interactive guide that helps parents and carers learn how needle pain and anxiety work, the strategies for managing them, and how to talk with kids and providers, so they can walk into the next appointment prepared.

The Comfort Ability

A clinical program developed by Dr Rachael Coakley that teaches children, teens, and parents proven coping skills for managing pain. Comfort Quest co-developed a personalised, clinically-informed plan builder that sits inside the program.

CALM Care

A consistent, comforting approach to procedural care, rolled out across Queensland Children's Hospital. We built the parent education and video resources, plus staff training for clinicians.
