How Comfort Quest handles the personal information you give us through this website.

About this policy
This policy explains how Comfort Quest Pty Ltd (ABN 56 639 463 460) ("Comfort Quest", "we", "us") handles personal information collected through comfortquest.io. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
It covers the website and its forms: the contact form, the "try it with your resource" form and the demo sign-up. Our apps, such as Poke Plan and SuperMeg, have their own app privacy notices. The Storytime with Spud demo has its own notice, and DECIDE has its own privacy notice, which applies when you use it.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us in our forms or emails, plus basic technical information from your visit.

Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use IP addresses briefly to limit repeated form submissions and block spam, not to identify you.
Please don't send patient information. Our forms aren't designed for health information. Don't include details about patients or a child's health in your message or in the documents you link to. If we receive it anyway, we'll delete it as soon as we notice.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to you and to follow up on your interest in our work. Specifically, we use it to:
- reply to your enquiry
- review the resource you've linked, build a short demonstration from it and send you a video of it (resource requests)
- send an automatic email confirming we've received your details
- keep a record of enquiries, so we can follow up and see who is interested in our work
- contact you about Comfort Quest's services where it relates to what you asked us; you can ask us to stop at any time
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising on other websites.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers that run our website and handle enquiries for us. They process it on our behalf, only to provide their service.

We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it.
Overseas storage. Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We choose providers with strong security practices, and we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and analytics
The website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't track you across other websites. If we add analytics in future, we'll update this policy before we do.
Storage, security and retention
We keep your information in the providers listed above, behind accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor sign-in where available. Only people at Comfort Quest who need it can see it.
We keep enquiry records for up to 3 years after we last hear from you, then delete them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong or out of date
- delete your information
- stop contacting you about our services
Use the contact details below. We'll respond within 30 days, and there's no charge. To protect your information, we may need to confirm who you are first.
Questions and complaints
To ask a question, make a request or complain about how we've handled your information, use the contact form or email hello@comfortquest.io. Tell us what happened and how to reach you.
We'll acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
